Seneca Lake Wine Tour

Back in July I traveled to Seneca Lake in New York for my good friend Katelyn's bachelorette party. I was  looking forward to it all summer because not only did I get to spend an entire weekend with Katelyn, our other good friend Kristen, and some seriously fun friends of Katelyn's, but we also were scheduled to go on a 7-vineyard wine tour around the lake on our own private bus.

I'll spare you the party shots, but of course I couldn't resist taking my camera along, and I'm so happy I did because the scenery was gorgeous, as was the wonderful bride-to-be! Here are some of my favorites!

This is Kristen (on the left), and Katelyn (on the right). The three of us studied abroad in Spain together during our junior year of college (go Keene State!), and the experience cemented our friendship. I love these two girls to pieces, and they are a very important and special part of my life.

The sunset on Seneca was incredible on the night we arrived. I don't know if I've ever seen such a perfect blend of purples and blues in the sky. It was breathtaking.

And of course, it made for one gorgeous sunset.

The tour started off at Fox Run Vineyards, which ended up being my favorite stop of the day. Their Riesling was incredible, and I loved looking at their selection of award winning wines.

Isn't she adorable?

This is Katelyn's wonderful sister Emilie, who organized the entire weekend for all of us. Thank you Emilie!

Following the vineyards, we headed to our own private cottage. It was set on a vineyard itself and was tucked way back from the road so we had our very own space. The sun setting over the vineyards was stunning.

Now, that is one happy little bride. :) Stay tuned for wedding photos in just a few weeks!
