Just a few weeks ago I caught myself thinking, thank goodness, my youngest brother Rick isn't quite a senior yet. Then I realized he actually IS a senior, that I am officially old, and that it was senior picture time.
I took Rick and his buddy Colt to downtown Bangor for the shoot. I loved that they went together because it really helped them both relax and just have fun as we made our way around the Penobscot River and through the city streets.
The last time I saw Colt, he was about 3 months old, 20 inches tall, and maybe 12 pounds. So, you can imagine my surprise when he stepped out of the car and was all grown up. His mom and my mom were very close for many years, and it was an honor to take his senior portraits.
Rick is the youngest of my four brothers. I'm pretty sure I'll be bawling my eyes out during his entire high school graduation as I stare in disbelief at this person who has gone from a hilarious toddler who dressed up like Woody from Toy Story and thought he really was the Black Power Ranger, to an incredibly bright, conscientious and handsome young man. I'm proud of you buddy.
Have an awesome senior year guys. I'll see you at graduation. Just look for the blubbering mess in the back row. :)
