If you haven't heard of the Real Maine Wedding magazine, you need to check it out. When I was getting married, I spent a lot of time on message boards, and stalked the magazine aisle for new issues of this publication, hoping to see pictures of my friends and check out the awesome photography that was featured.
A few months ago, Real Maine Weddings started their own website. Not too long after, I discovered that a picture of Kirsten's fun shoes were featured on one of their shoe inspiration boards. A few weeks later, the editor contacted me asking if I would be willing to submit a real wedding for their blog. (Warning: here comes my sappy side). I stared at the screen for a long time, with my eyes filling up with tears. It has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember to be a wedding photographer. To be recognized by the professionals in the field, and even more so, by those who recommend professionals in the field, is incredibly humbling, flattering, and exciting to me.
I chose to submit Eliza and Scott's wedding from the Portland Company last June. Their story and personalities, as well as the overall energy and experience of the day created what I thought to be a great story for Real Maine Weddings.
You can see the post here. I'm so happy to be able to share this with you and hope that you find some inspiration yourselves in Eliza and Scott's story.
