Kimberly and Jason, Engaged

When I met with Kimberly and Jason last fall to discuss their wedding plans, they told me they were hoping to do winter engagement pictures at Deering Oaks Park in Portland. We all crossed our fingers, hoping for snow, and if you live in the area, you know that lack of snow for this session was the least of our worries.

One of the reasons I love shooting engagement photos so much is because it lets me get to know the bride and groom in a much more relaxed environment before their big day. Getting a "preview" of their personalities can really be beneficial on the day of the wedding so I know what to expect and they've already spent some time with the nutty lady behind the lens.

Spending this time with Kimberly and Jason did exactly what I hope for all engagement sessions - it got me so much more excited to see them again on their wedding day. I laughed so much with these two as we stomped our way through the piles of snow in the park, finding places here and there to have them cozy up for some pictures. They are full of personality and charm, and I am excited to share some of my favorites with you.

Kimberly and Jason, I can't wait to see you again in September!
